A KCCI investigation reveals that minors in Iowa are often capable of getting fake identification to purchase alcohol or end up in bars.
Whether it be a brother, sister or teslin fake id, 20-year-old Kaitlyn Harward says if there’s a will there’s a method.
“You visit a home party or something first and by midnight, someone’s like ‘Alright, let’s go,’ and also you go without even having one, and when you obtain there there’s choice for you,” said Howard. “I think plenty of times they do what’s called ‘pass backs’ at the bars.”
It means a similar ID could be employed to get several people into one bar in a single night.
The good news is, minors are going to new lengths to get their practical high-tech very believable fake IDs. The technology is accessible online.
“Studying the photos and everything else, they look as real as what could be from their state agency,” said Jeff Hartschorn of your West Des Moines Police Department.

So it’s an extremely broad reaching good reason that the 59dexjpky government is even involved in tracking down folks that can make counterfeits,” said Steir.
The newest driver’s license format was released during 2010, and Steir said the DOT is definitely working to create a whole new format.
