Kaziranga National Park, is definitely an esteemed national park of India. This protected region of Assam has no dearth of distinct plant life and animals. Due to which, around 1985 they have designated among the famous natural World Heritage Site of our own country.
This national park was established during 1905 as a Reserve forest. Since than they have achieved a notable success in wildlife conservation. All thanks to the first efforts manufactured by the Mary Victoria Leiter Curzon, wife of Viceroy of India Lord Curzon within the British era.

Kaziranga also offers a large number of tigers because of which it was declared being a Tiger Reserve around 2006. Rivers flowing through Kaziranga are the place to find the Ganges Dolphin. Kaziranga National park is likewise recognized as an essential bird watching destination by Birdlife International for conservation of avifaunal species. Because of the heavy rains, Brahmaputra River bursts its banks, flooding the reduced-lying grasslands and causing wildlife to migrate from a single area to a different one throughout the Kaziranga National Park.
