Hilton Hotels Corporation reported today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior v . p . of corporate development. Leveraging his significant hospitality industry expertise in both the corporate and consulting environments, he is going to be working company-wide on cool product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, amongst others. Mirza is based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports straight to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Before joining Hilton, Mirza was actually a senior executive inside the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Before Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was in charge of brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. His consulting background includes a long period of project management experience with Deloitte/Braxton Associates in the regions of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.
